Meet the SunnyDays Staff!

Kelly Peters is SunnyDays’ founder and lead occupational therapist. Peters received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of South Dakota, and from there, she pursued her Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy at the College of St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, MN. Peters is a registered and licensed occupational therapist that has extensive experience in providing services to children dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This includes widespread knowledge in Verbal Behavior Therapy implementation.

Katie Sundberg, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, is also a Certified Massage Therapist and received her degree in 2003 from Sister Rosalind School of Professional Massage. From there, Sundberg continued her education and received a second degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance from Anoka Technical College in May of 2006. She began working with kids with ASD in a school-based occupational therapy setting at the Bloomington school district. Since January 2008, Sundberg has been working with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a center-based setting. She has been trained in Sensorimotor Early Childhood and continues to extend her knowledge by attending ongoing seminars on ASD. Sundberg is also certified by the American Heart Association in Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid.
